The work examines cycling in Rome, a city known for its chronic problems of mobility . It analyzes the different perception of the urban landscape by the cyclist compared to who drives cars and if for cyclist there is some change in the management of time towards a “slow-life” style against the “fast and furious” style of the driver, or if the fear for one’s own safety makes impossible a sustainable mobility and vision of Rome. The study develops, too, analyzing the policies for cycling mobility of the City of Rome assessed through interviews and questionnaires to people who between 2008 and 2015 have attended at the mechanic workshop for bicycles at social centre “Ex Lavanderia”.
